About

Mining Technology Program trains qualified personnel, including workers, managers and engineers, who have sufficient knowledge about mineral exploration and operations. Çan Vocational School Mining Technology Program has graduated for 2 semesters so far, with its first graduates in 2011. Our students who graduated in 2011 and 2012 were placed in undergraduate programs through the DGS exam. Almost all of our students who graduate from our program can easily find a job in the mining sector, which has a great impact on today's economy.

Competencies

It trains Mining Technology Technicians who can work in mining and other mining-related subjects, are technically competitive and well-educated, have teamwork skills, can follow and apply technological developments throughout their careers, and are environmentally friendly. Our students who graduate from this program receive the title of "Technician".

Job oppurtunities

Students graduating from this department can work in relevant public institutions and organizations, as well as in private mining organizations such as marble enterprises, cement industry, ceramic industry and metallurgical facilities.

Vertical transmission

Those who have completed the "Mining Technology" associate degree program can apply to "Mining Engineering", "Geological Engineering", "Metallurgical and Materials Engineering" and "Mere Processing Engineering" programs if they are successful in the vertical transfer exam (DGS). They can continue their 4-year undergraduate education.
