The Department of Handicrafts was established to train professional staff who can research traditional and artistic handicraft products, create new designs, and use technology together with the traditional dimension of handicrafts. Çan Vocational School Department of Handicrafts consists of 3 programs; Ceramics, Glass and Tile Making, Goldsmithing and Jewelry Design and Architectural Decorative Arts.

In education and training activities, on the one hand, studies on the survival of Handicrafts are included, on the other hand, designs and original products are created for the understanding of contemporary art. Thus, graduating students can work as producers and managers in private organizations, or they are trained to be self-employed by establishing their own businesses.

Our students who graduate from the programs can continue their undergraduate education with DGS.
