One of our faculty members from the Department of Mining and Mineral Extraction. Assistant Professor  Özkan ATEŞ and Assistant Professor Erdem GÜNDOĞDU participated as a researcher, and it was conducted on behalf of our university by  from the Department of Geological Engineering. The TÜBİTAK project titled "Determining the Paleoseismological Characteristics of Turkey's Active Faults" by Professor Süha ÖZDEN was announced to the public at the ceremony held at the Presidential Complex, attended by the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mr. Mehmet Fatih KACIR.

At the presentation and signing ceremony of the "Research Platform for the Determination of Paleoseismological Characteristics of Turkey's Active Faults", Minister of Industry and Technology Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Abdullah Tancan, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Münir Karaloğlu, TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, AFAD President Governor Okay Memiş, MTA General Manager Vedat Yanık, TBB President Yücel Yılmaz and Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Rector Prof. Dr. R. Cüneyt Erenoğlu, 13 other university rectors and researchers included in the platform took part.
