Today, we martyred 253 thousand of our soldiers due to unjust enemy attacks, but we will write in history in golden letters that "ÇANAKKALE IS IMPOSSIBLE!" We are experiencing the great honor of celebrating the 108th anniversary of our "ÇANAKKALE VICTORY", for which we had the words written, and commemorating the Martyrs' Day of our beloved martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our sacred homeland without hesitation.
The Gallipoli Wars had a great impact on world history, with spirituality prevailing over materiality, and shed light on the strengthening of the idea of independence in countries that had been exploited by Europeans for centuries. The Çanakkale Victory not only changed the fate of the Turkish nation in a positive way, but also had a great impact on the change of the mentality of the nations of the world.
During the Çanakkale wars, especially on the Arıburnu and Anafartalar fronts, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's superior struggle with his soldiers and during this struggle he said, "I do not order you to attack, I order you to die. "In the time until we die, other forces will replace us and other commanders may dominate." The historical order he gave as; It became a cornerstone in rewriting the destiny of the Turkish nation.
This war, which is an example to the world, and the heroism shown by Corporal Seyit and his friends, who carried the 276-kilogram cannonball on their back, is an epic of heroism that very few nations in the world can show. What makes the Gallipoli Wars unique is not the fact that the occupying states surrounded and attacked the Bosphorus with the most magnificent warships of the period and thousands of soldiers, but the saintly Mehmetçik who shielded his chest from the fire raining down from the sky.
What made Çanakkale Çanakkale are the Turkish mothers who put every inch of the country's land above the lives of their children, saying "either be a martyr or a veteran" to the sons they sent to the front. We commemorate with mercy and gratitude our martyrs, the immortal symbols of our nation's existence, unity and solidarity, who gifted us this sacred homeland we live on, and we express our gratitude.
